Circumstances such as scheduling problems with an internal technician; the primary vendor declining the order; or perhaps the necessity for a higher level of expertise may require the reassignment of an order. The user has the ability to reassign a work order using the Modify Work Order form or using the shortcut menu that is accessible in the Dispatch Board and Quick List. Select Vendor or Employee and enter the corresponding number.
Based on the selection, the Employee or Vendor field will become active. Enter the corresponding number or click the Find button for easy lookup.
If the Exisiting Assignment has the capability within the system, the cancellation notice can be Faxed or Paged.
When faxing a cancellation notice, Dispatcher Comments can be added as appropriate.
Click OK to Reassign.
The Dispatch Notify form will pop up. Complete all dispatch options and click OK. When a technician is unavailable, the system will inform the user with a pop up message.
Note: When the Site Matrix is complete, the Matrix Assignments will be listed in lower portion of the form. The Callout field is used only after regular business hours, usually after 5:00 p.m.
