There are situations that call for multiple work orders based on one problem. One example is a water leak, which could require the repair of the leak, clean up of the water, and possibly damage to a floor or carpeting. In this event, the CSR would create the initial order and from that order, create the sub orders required to repair the resulting damage.
Once the initial order is created, a New Work Order tab becomes active. Click that tab and check the box adjacent to Create as Sub. Screen Shot
Expand the tree view to select the appropriate equipment group. Add the problem code to the work order.
The work order can be assigned to a different vendor or technician as required.
Click the button labeled Create Order. Repeat these steps for each sub-order.
Note: To enable the system to accept multiple orders during Call Entry, use the Company Default Setting, CallEntry_AllowMultiOrders.
