Record Labor Hours

Once the work has been completed, the technician will submit paper work documenting the repair. This will include the actual time spent working on the job, as well as travel to and from the site. This information is used for internal billing purposes, as well as tracking the number of hours spent on certain categories of orders.

To add labor hours to a work order, click the task button labeled Labor and complete the Labor Hours form as follows.   Screen Shot

  1. To select a time card to which this order applies, click the down-arrow icon adjacent to the field labeled Sunday Date.   To create a new time card, click Calendar.

  2. Highlight the specific time card date to which the labor hours apply.

  3. In the field labeled Arrival, enter the date and time the technician first arrived at the site.  Include AM or PM when adding the time.  The system recognizes standard time, as well as military time.

    Tip:  When the user tabs to the Departure field, the system will automatically switch the time card to the corresponding workweek, if it was not initially set.

    Note:  When the user tabs to the Departure field, the system will automatically switch the time card to the corresponding workweek, if it was not initially set.  After the arrival time is added, the user does have the ability to change the time card to a week other than the week in which the work was performed.

  4. The date in the field labeled Departure will default to the arrival date just entered.  Add the time of departure, including AM or PM.

  5. The system will calculate the quantity or total number of hours.

  6. Enter a brief description of the Service Performed.

  7. Enter the Resolution Code.  A Find button is available for easy lookup.

  8. Set the work order Status to Complete or Hold

  9. Click Apply to save the data.
